The 4th confirmed registration in Ukraine and the first for the Kyiv region took place at the Kyiv Reservoir. The bird was discovered by Oleksiy Zolotov, Oleksiy Komarovskyi and Vakhtang Kipiani.

The second record for 2019 year in Ukraine. Juvenile individual was photographed at Telbin Lake, Kyiv (North Ukraine) on October, 14. This is the 21th registration for Ukraine and this is the first registration for the Kyiv region. The first bird this year was observed on August 22, in the lower part of the Tylihulskyi lyman by P. Panchenko and O. Formaniuk.

The third observation for the Azov-Black Sea region and Ukraine at all, with the exception of Zmijinyi Island and Crimean Peninsula, where this species is now nesting.
